Cal Justin Tivo Moreno is a Mexican American writer and director from Baltimore, Maryland. Realizing the East Coast was too humid, Cal traveled west to study film production at the University of Southern California, where he wrote and directed various projects. Cal’s short film, NUMBER 2, a dark comedy about his personal diagnosis of Crohn’s Disease, was awarded the Panavision New Filmmaker Grant and has screened at festivals worldwide.

When he’s not working on his own projects, Cal spends his time working at Industrial Light & Magic to pay off his student loans.  His credits include ALIEN: ROMULUS, THE CREATOR, KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON, BABYLON, THE MARVELS, SPACE JAM: A NEW LEGACY, and AVENGERS: ENDGAME.

Cal is currently developing his first feature film and on a quest for the best generic chocolate lava cake in the universe.
